2008 Flying Dutchman World Championship and Open New Zealand ChampionshipsAccommodationThe local boys high school (5km from the yacht club) has individual rooms and breakfast available for $35/person/night. Number need to be confirmed by 1 November, so if you want to do this please register at fdwc2008entries@gmail.com with NBHS in subject line. The Scout hall (directly to north across the harbour from the yacht club ~300m walk away) has kindly offered use of the hall. There are showers, toilets and small kitchen. Accommodation would be in one large room, with competitors having to bring there own bedding etc. Please register at fdwc2008entries@gmail.com with Scout hall in subject line. Cost $10/person/night. We strongly recommend booking accommodation early as the world championships are being held during peak holiday season. There are a wide range of accommodation options available in Napier to suit every desire and budget. There are several hotels within easy walking distance of the club. Some of the hotels beside the club are now fully occupied over this period. Camping: There is a camp ground within 5 minutes walk to the Club. There is no camping at the yacht club. Back packers: is available near the club from around NZ$20 per person per night (dormitory). For those that want to stay together or take their families – there are a number of options you can rent a house. There are a range of apartments, houses, motels and hotels to suit every budget.
